ISONEM MD 28 is a cement based, is a two component acrylic modifiedcementitious coating that requires only on site mixing to form the ideal product to waterproof and resurface concrete, masonry, and most other construction materials. The product has high flexibility and ability to fill the capillary and concreting cracks on the surface. The product has high adherence and features an excellent adhesive on concrete plaster, alum etc. The product presents a good resistance against the weather conditions, UV lights and mechanic impacts and abrasion.

• Positive side insulations of the wall and grounds,
• Insulations on the concrete, plaster and alum applications,
• Balcony, terrace, swimming pools,
• Wet areas, shower and baths, for fixing tiles in water retaining structures.
• Pre-cast and pre-fabricated elements, roofs,
• To reface in concrete surfaces.
• As a waterproof lining for water retaining structures.
• For coating seawater channels.
• For waterproofing & protection against brackish water.
• To provide foundation protection.
• To provide protection to concrete surfaces from carbonation and chloride attack.
• For use on pedestrian walkways in marine areas.

APPLICATION :

Surface Preparation:

The surface to be applied on should be certainly clean and moist, If the surface is dry, it should be moistened providing no accumulation. The oil, dust, rust or the factors reducing the adherence should be eliminated. If any adherence problem is observed or uneven surfaces are mentioned, ISONEM D10 adhesive should be used as an undercoating layer before the application, if any points requiring repair works, -segregations or any gaps, they should be repaired with ISONEM 03 Elastic Mortar. Such present dilatations should be filled up with ISONEM A4 elastic filler before the application of ISONEM MD 28. Then ISONEM MD 28 mixture should be prepared.

Preparation of the Mixture & Application :

ISONEM MD 28 is supplied in premeasure units and should be mixed on site in clean containers. Slowly add the powder to the liquid and mix, using a slow speed drill fitted with a suitable paddle. The mixing process takes 5 minutes for homogenous structure. MIX AND USE. Do not mix more material than can be used in one hour.

ISONEM MD 28 is applied in three layers with the recoating intervals of 4 hours per layer. The product should be applied with a brush smoothly in the directions perpendicular to each others. 24 hours should not be exceeded to apply each layer. The application should not be made at high temperatures or frost so the morning hours or the evening times should be preferred.

It is recommended, for general resurfacing, that each coat should be a minimum of 1mm thick.

Consumption : 2 kg/m2 (at 3 layers)

Storage : 12 months in cold and dry places
