ISONEM M 36 is a cement- based waterplug that instantly stops running water. When contacted with water, it plugs the water by taking a set in40 seconds. ISONEM M 36 is used in active water currents and dewatering the surface. High- expansion property, it does not shrink. It does not contain either soda or chlorine. Excellent adherence property, it does not damage the equipment and the iron.
Usage Areas:
- in plugging the pressure water,
- in stopping the water seepage before cement- based insulations is applied,
- in drying the surface and preventing the leakages from cracks.
Usage Type:
Preparation of Surface :
Before application, surfaces must be clean and moist. If there are free particles, they must be removed and the surface must be cleansed from foreign materials such as dirt, rust, mud etc. The elements preventing the adhesion, if any, ISONEM D 10 adhesive must be used as a primer. Gaps or holes must be bored in V-shape and 2 cm.
Application Type:
It is applied in powder form. Rubber gloves are recommended during application. A small amount of dust is placed in the palm for buffer to the prepared surface, and the material is suppressed in active water leak area vigorously by hand. This process is continued until the powder becomes tough and the water is stopped. After stopping the water, the left material on ISONEM M 36 is cleaned with a dry brush. Then, by applying ISONEM M 34 three times, a permanent insulation is achieved.
If ISONEM M 36 is applied as a mortar in plastering form, it is transformed into paste consistency by mixing clean water at a ratio of 1/5. This prepared mixture is made in plastic form. This mortar starts to heat up with reaction and it is suppressed on the water hole as a tap in a move. Hardening is awaited and the hand is held there for a while. As in dry application, plastering application is also done by applying ISONEM M 34 three- times.
